The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-
Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer of Tiger Twins (going) - €200.The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
Sam Ewing replaced D. Meyler on Colcannon, trained by Noel Meade (Race 2)(injured).J.J. Slevin replaced D. Meyler on Single Edition, trained by James M. Barcoe (Race 3)(injured).
K.C. Sexton replaced D. Meyler on Clone Cross (GB), trained by Simon Cavanagh (Race 5)(injured).
138A Wexford Claiming H'dle
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. L.Wyer, that Kevin Healy, rider of Oh So Charming (GB), weighed in at 1.8lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was covered in kickback. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Kevin Healy was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for two racedays.
138B Botanica International Rated H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Colcannon, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
138C1 Treo Eile H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from P.J. Rothwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Kilt, placed first, as compared with its recent form. P.J. Rothwell reported that his charge benefitted from a good positive ride from halfway today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
D.J Gilligan, rider of Emesteraye, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the final 100 yards.
138C2 Treo Eile H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from Adrian Murray, trainer of Euro Maker, for an additional 10 minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Brave Josee (FR), ridden by Kevin Healy, and trained by Declan Queally. Evidence was heard from the rider and the trainers authorised representative Mr D Queally. Kevin Healy stated that his instructions were jump off last as this filly can be very difficult who has a tendency to run very freely, he further added that his mount became slightly detached until going out on the final circuit which at that stage his mount started to hang badly on the downhill run to the straight. Mr D Queally confirmed the instructions given and outlined how difficult his charge can be at home and at the races, he further added that his filly is a lightly framed animal who did a lot of things wrong today and suggested maybe running her right handed in future. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to be post race normal.Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given and took no further action. They were however satisfied that Kevin Healy was in breach of Rule 213 (failing to report) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for one raceday.
138D Discover Wexford M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Grandy Lane, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
P. Townend, rider of Casual Water, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Grandy Lane, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran disappointingly and pulled up.
138F Wexford Harbour H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Annie Button, trained by Peter John Flood, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a superficial wound on left fore cannon and also blowing hard post race.
138G Racing Again 30th June INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr B.T. Stone, rider of Weaponized, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr. B.T. Stone accepted he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Mr. B.T. Stone was in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and in considering his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays. .
